WELCOME TO THE 20th ANNIVERSARY LAKE PLACID SUMMIT LACROSSE TOURNAMENT, AUGUST 2-9, 2009

The Lake Placid Summit Lacrosse Tournament reaches an important milestone in 2009, its 20th anniversary event! From its humble beginnings as a single division, 7-team event in 1990, the 2009 Summit will feature 120 teams participating in 10 divisions of play. And, players from age 14 to 60+ will display their lacrosse prowess on the athletic fields of Lake Placid, one of the world's premier sports towns.  

 

FREE AGENT PLAYERS LOOKING TO CONNECT WITH A TEAM?

Free agent players looking to connect with a team should send an e-mail to george@lakeplacidlax.com indicating the division of play and we will circulate your e-mail to the team contacts. Due to the information crunch as the tournament approaches, we will generally not be responding to player inquiries. Teams in all divisions including scholastic have indicated a need for some players to we will do our best to make connections. To protect the privacy of the team contacts, we will not be publishing team contact information.    

 

PRELIMINARY SCHEDULE INFORMATION

Go to the forms page for preliminary schedule information. The final schedule should be completed and uploaded by around July 15 or as soon as we finalize the field of teams.

 

TEAM ROSTERS

 

All teams are required to submit a roster form that includes the city of residence and date of birth of all team members. The roster can be uploaded through the Team-Login button on this page or a hard copy can be downloaded from the forms page. Those teams using hard copy rosters must submit two copies at least one hour prior to the team's first game. Properly completed rosters are essential for anyone wishing to submit a claim through the US Lacrosse tournament supplemental insurance package that has been purchased for all teams in the tournament.  

 

ADULT DIVISIONS CLOSED OUT FOR 2009 (posted 5/20/09)

With 98 registered teams, the eight adult divisions of the 2009 Lake Placid Summit are completely filled! To be added to our wait list, please send us an e-mail and let us know which division you are interested in. Although all available spots are currently claimed, Is is still possible that one or more spots will open up with the withdrawal of a team.

Over the next month, we will be developing the preliminary schedule and making final preparations for this year's event, our twentieth tournament! Look for more frequent information updates on our home page.

 

SCHOLASTIC DIVISION NEWS; SPOTS STILL AVAILABLE

 

Seventeen boys U-15 and U-18 teams have registered for the inaugural scholastic division. The charter members of the scholastic division wil enjoy a small but competitive tournament and will have time built in to enjoy the sites of Lake Placid. There will also be a clinic held by MLL players MIke and Kevin Leveille and some special guests on Tuesday evening August 4. The clinic is free to tournament partiucipants.  

 

HOW TO LOG IN IF YOU PREVIOUSLY REGISTERED FOR THE 2009 TOURNAMENT

 

Registered teams can access and update their registration information or make secure credit card payments by clicking on the "Team Log-in" Tab on our home page. Access is enabled through a password established by the team when originally registered. Each registered team is sent a receipt that includes registration information and the password established at the time of registration. Once a team has paid in full, they will no longer be able to access their registration information, but they will be able to access and update their team roster.
